About the Role
This is a senior, revenue-generating role for an accomplished IT sales professional with a proven track record of driving business growth, managing OEM relationships, and winning enterprise accounts. As a Sales & Business Development Executive, you will own the full commercial cycle identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, negotiating and closing high-value deals, and growing long-term client relationships that deliver sustained revenue for the business.
You will serve as a key commercial representative of Bluechip Technologies in Ghana, working closely with OEM vendors, technology partners, and enterprise clients to position our solutions as the preferred choice in the market. This role demands a confident, self-motivated individual who knows how to open doors, build trust, and convert opportunities into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full sales cycle from lead generation, opportunity development, and proposal delivery through to negotiation, deal closure, and account growth.
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across target sectors, building a strong and consistently growing pipeline.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with OEM vendors and technology partners, leveraging these relationships to create and unlock commercial opportunities for Bluechip Technologies.
- Develop and execute account penetration strategies for key enterprise clients, ensuring Bluechip Technologies remains the partner of choice for their technology needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling, professionally written proposals, business cases, and commercial presentations tailored to client needs and decision-making priorities.
- Represent Bluechip Technologies at client engagements, industry events, and partner forums, consistently projecting the brand with credibility and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with technical and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are well-scoped, commercially viable, and aligned with client expectations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline records, sales forecasts, and account plans, reporting progress regularly to the Country Manager.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging client needs to identify new areas of growth and inform the business development strategy.
- Negotiate commercial terms confidently and professionally, ensuring outcomes that are favourable to both the client and the business.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in sales and business development within an IT company or technology solutions environment — with a strong, verifiable track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience managing OEM relationships and partner ecosystems (e.g. Dell Technologies, HPE, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong commercial understanding of IT infrastructure solutions, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Cloud, Virtualisation, and Data solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and close deals with C-level and senior decision-makers within enterprise organisations.
- Excellent proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills — you are as comfortable in a boardroom as you are drafting a winning commercial document.
- A well-established professional network within the Ghanaian or broader West African technology market is a significant advantage.
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
- Relevant professional certifications from leading OEM vendors are an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
