The Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation is responsible for insuring depositor’s funds. Following the last round of consolidation in the Nigerian Banking Sector, NDIC was burdened with the task of paying depositors of the failed banks.
Before
- 13 failed Banks with different core banking systems
- Expiration of licenses of these banking systems
- So tracking deposits and loans was an upheaval task.
- There was a need for better access to information to enable timely oayment to depositors
What we did
- Data Warehouse currently houses data from 14 different source systems.
- Generated reports from the DW has enabled present facts at different depositor cases under litigation
- Provisioning of ongoing support for loan recovery for failed banks.
